Mechanical Engineering 340-2: Computer Integrated Manufacturing II (CAD/CAM) with Professor Michael Beltran (Spring 2019)
Nora the Dragon was originally drawn by a fourth grader at Lincoln Elementary, Evanston. The design went from CAD model, to CAM program, to CNC-milled aluminum mold parts, to a multi-component plastic injection molded toy. Through this project, I learned how to design for injection molding and refined my CAD/CAM skills. Nora was created with Siemens NX software and Haas CNC milling machines.
